May 2002 Mela

This year's Mela celebration started on the 14th May 2002 . This being the 2nd Mela since the opening of Gurdwara on 7th Oct. 2000. The Akhand Padh at Mandhali started on the 14th may 2002. The Bhog was on 16th May 2002.

The building work was started in mid march 2002, the main item being the Gurdwara dom and floors between, a) living rooms and gurdwara, b) sarobar and gurdwara. Then floor in front of sarobar & in front of the main hall.

Here is the main hall dome being built. The main gom being started i.e. the top round part is 15 feet in diameter. The steel fixtures building the main cage of steel The area in front of the kitchen block being levelled. The main dome almost complete - ceramic tiles still to be installed on all the round part.
